New term, more achievements!!
Well our start back to the new year has been anything but relaxing! Prepare for a very long blog!!
With students competing at both Swale and Orpington Dance festivals in September and October and others attending the IDTA Classical Performance Awards we were as ever immensely proud of all their achievements!
We started the term with our end of show/ welcome back picnic which was a huge success and included scrummy cakes baked by our fabulous Jane (please apply for next year's Great British Bake Off!!) and fun games where we saw some of older students covered in raw egg!!! Thank you to Laurena, Emma and Paula for all of your hard work and efforts to make the day so enjoyable!
Some of our fabulous students then went on to audition for the Woodville Halls pantomime in Gravesend and we are ecstatic to say that three of our Daluca Dancers will be performing as seniors this Christmas! Congratulations Darcey, Elizabeth and Rachel!
Four of our students also attended the IDTA Classical Performance Awards in Leatherhead this October and we could not be more proud of them! Special mentions must go to Amelia who placed first (!!!) and to Jenna who placed third! Well done girls!
We returned as normal to Swale and Orpington Dance Festivals where our dancers worked incredibly hard.
At Orpington a number of our girls were nominated to attend the premier awards and we also won a number of trophies including the Senior Theatre Troupe and Senior Classical Group where both were awarded the highest marks of the festival! Go team Daluca!!!
We sadly had to say goodbye to the lovely Bethany this term who has left to study at the University of Surrey to become a paramedic, we wish her all the luck in the world but we wish she didn't have to go!
Now it is time to work hard towards our exams before Christmas!!
